DESIGN supports a community’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart.
The DESIGN TEAM is responsible for planning and implementing installation and maintenance of commercial district enhancements like flowers and plants, outdoor art, seating, shade, and amenities such as publc WiFi.
The plans are documented in a Downtown Snow Hill Streetscape Plan that is updated periodically. The latest presentation of this plan is included in the Design Team Downtown 2022-2023 Streetscape Plan powerpoint presentation.
In addition, in May of 2021 the Town Council tasked the Main Street Design Team with doing a design for the Bank Street "Riverview Square" space (Green Street to Willow St). The presentation of that design was made to Mayor and Council twice, the 2nd time on August 30, 2022. The powerpoint slides from that presentation are located at BANK STREET DESIGN updated 8-30-22. The full report is available on request.
The Design Team current meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 214 Bank Street. The entrance to 214 Bank Street is located at the end of the alley behind the American Legion building.
